Generate a Company ESG Report

Get a PDF report on the ESG controversies of a single company

The Company ESG Report is a PDF report on the ESG controversies of a single company over a period. It gathers in one document what you would otherwise collect from several routes: the company profile, its CES, the controversies over time, the list of cases or events, the breakdown by subrisk and the UNGC alignment.

Request a report

Two routes generate the report. They produce the same PDF, but list different items:

RouteLists
Entities ESG Cases ReportThe cases of the company.
Entities ESG Events ReportThe events of the company.

Both routes create a task and return its task_id right away. The report is generated in the background.

Get the report

  1. Poll GET /tasks/{task_id}/status until the status is completed or failed.
  2. Call GET /tasks/{task_id}/download to get a download URL for the PDF.

The download URL is valid for 5 minutes, and the report is deleted after 1 week. See Tasks for the task statuses.

Only a limited number of reports can be generated at the same time for each user, cases and events reports combined; the other ones wait in a queue. See Limitations for the exact numbers.

Report content

The report contains these sections:

  1. Executive summary: company overview, key findings and headline metrics (number of cases, intensity distribution, ESG distribution, highest UNGC flag).
  2. Controversy Exposure Score: the CES at the reporting date and its evolution.
  3. Exposure to controversies over time: number of cases or events by intensity for each period, against the CES and the CES of the company's sectors.
  4. Related cases or Related events: the full list, with category, subrisks, intensity and summary.
  5. Breakdown by subrisk: volume and maximum intensity for each subrisk.
  6. UN Global Compact alignment: mapping of the cases to the ten UNGC principles.
  7. Appendix: entity identity and the filters used for the report.

The UNGC sections are only present if your account has access to UNGC data. Contact your account manager if you want to enable UNGC access.
